How old is your water heater?

Do you know how old your water heater is?  The average water heater lasts between 8 and 12 years. A homeowner recently called us after a heavy rain and said his window had to be leaking a lot because he had A LOT of water. SERVPRO of Franklin, Vance and Granville Counties was quick to the home to try to prevent any more damage.  We extracted the standing water and found no evidence of a leak around his window. So where was all this water coming from?  The production manager went into the crawlspace and found the problem.
